In this project, students take on the role of a sports marketing specialist responsible for creating, managing, and promoting their own professional sports franchise. Students select a sport, develop a team identity, design a logo, and build a complete organization around their team. Throughout the project, students apply technology and business skills by completing a variety of real-world tasks using software applications to create professional business documents, analyze team finances, organize databases, design marketing materials, and develop presentations to promote their franchise. Project activities may include creating team rosters, letterhead, press releases, schedules, salary spreadsheets, admission tickets, promotional items, databases, and team presentations. Students learn how different business functions work together to support a successful sports organization. By the end of the simulation, students have developed a complete sports franchise portfolio that showcases their computer application and business skills which were showcased at the big event. JRC Staff voted on the winners for multiple areas of the project.

Alexandros has stood out this past month for his exceptional performance as the classroom teacher of classroom 211 over the past month. Alex has done an exemplary job running Direct Instruction lessons, ensuring all students participate in group instruction, and encouraging all staff working in the classroom to get involved in instructional routines and follow through with behavior plans. Alex is one of the newest licensed teachers at JRC and is demonstrating to be a fine addition! Keep up the good work. Thank you Alex!

Since joining the team, Erin has quickly become a valued part of the workplace. She has seamlessly fit into the environment, demonstrating a positive attitude and strong work ethic from the start. She consistently goes above and beyond, as evidenced by her regular early arrival, which demonstrates dedication and reliability. Erin is always ready to lend a helping hand, consistently supporting coworkers and answering questions with patience and enthusiasm. Her collaborative spirit and approachable nature have made her someone her coworkers can depend on. Overall, Erin continues to perform at a high level, and her contributions have not gone unnoticed. Moses has demonstrated outstanding dedication in his role as Residential Supervisor. His strong knowledge of the house and the clients helps create a structured, supportive, and positive environment for everyone. He consistently takes pride in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the residence, ensuring it remains a comfortable and welcoming space. His attention to detail and commitment to high standards do not go unnoticed. Moses works each day diligently to ensure the residence runs smoothly.
